CHRIS WILTON

Responsibilities: Finance and Planning. email:

Chris Wilton is married to Dianne, and they have two children and two grandchildren. After taking a degree in Arabic Language and Islamic History, he joined the Diplomatic Service and spent the majority of his overseas career in the Middle East. On leaving the Diplomatic Service, he ran a marketing consultancy company, qualified as an investment adviser, and held various unpaid positions including Chairman of Raleigh International, the youth development charity.

He and Dianne moved to Sheet in 2006. Chris is currently Chairman of the Board of the Rosemary Foundation, and Executive Chairman of Petersfield ShopMobility. In his spare time, he sings in two choirs, plays the piano, enjoys travel, and grows vegetables.

He reckons Sheet is without a doubt one of the best villages to live in, and will do all he can to make sure it stays that way.

GAIL MARTIN - Vice-Chair

Responsibilities: Village Hall, Roads. email:

I have spent my life in education and research, both in Britain and abroad. I have lived in Sheet since 1999. Since retiring I have worked in the Criminal Justice System concentrating on the welfare of children. As a councillor I am particularly concerned to see that the village is a place where all residents, young and old, feel happy and secure.

ALAN BIDDLECOMBE

Responsibilities: Finance, SDNPA liaison/open spaces. email:

I have been living in Sheet since 1997, and I am finding new aspects of the Parish every day. I am a retired company director, having worked in Design Engineering and Technical Recruitment. I now volunteer with the SDNP and this gives me an insight into environmental management, and how we enjoy our open spaces. I am keen to encourage the appreciation of the unique countryside we live in, and support the local groups that use our facilities, that keep the village thriving and vibrant.

BRIAN BIRD

I have lived in Village Street, Sheet since 1985. I was married in Sheet Church, have two children who have both been christened in Sheet Church and who both attended Sheet Primary School. I run a local bespoke woodworking business and I like to get things done. I believe very strongly in the community and have great respect for the

ROBIN FORREST

Responsibilities: Recreation Ground, Allotments, Sheet Common. email:

A retired General Dental Practitioner, Robin and his family have lived in the same house in Pulens Lane, Sheet since 1983. No experience at all of council committee work but happy to learn and use my skills, hopefully to the benefit of the Parish. Aware that although the identity of the village itself is very strong, at least a third of the parish electorate lives south of the old London Road, and this shouldn't be lost sight of.

Craig Stevens

clerk

Email:Craig Stevens

I have lived in Sheet for 13 years, with my wife and our two children and am an IT specialist. As well as playing and coaching hockey, I have several years of being on men’s and junior committees at Havant and with the Mercian league. I was chairman of the Kingscourt pta and a member of the Churchers College pta. I believe in a sense of community/society, where we support our wonderful village and local community. My main interests are music and attending Steve’s Gladiator bootcamp at the rugby club.

JENNY HOLLINGTON - Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO)

clerk

I have lived in the neighbouring parish of Steep since 2006 and became Clerk to Steep Parish Council in 2008, a role I very much enjoyed. In 2012 I gained the CiLCA qualification (Certificate in Local Council Administration) and was asked whether I would help out as Interim Clerk for Sheet Shadow Council whilst Sheet Parish Council was first being formed. Initially I thought of this as a short term role but came to very much enjoy working with the new Parish Councillors and residents of Sheet and decided to apply for the position.

The role is part-time - currently 13 hours a week - but I can be contacted anytime Monday to Friday during office hours.
